Empty Birdhouses

The fall surprises us at warm and dry days, but the birds are not fooled: their houses will stay empty until next spring.

I am still deep into "work" mode, and dreaming about switching into "creativity" one, secretly in fear that I have completely forgotten how to draw during this long break.
I returned to drawing class and hope this activity will help me with transfiguration. Meanwhile one more dull still life in pencil from drawing class.

  2. Irina, que lindos trabajos!, la casa de pájaros muy colorida y alegre aún sin sus habitantes, y el dibujo me parece muy logrado, sutil y delicado.

  5. It's not easy learning to balance the analytic part of your brain with the creative part but I have no doub you will succeed. Easing back by taking drawing classes is a great way to go!

  6. Susan's right. A drawing class, a workshop, a beautiful art book, a trip to a museum are very stimulating. All get the creative juices flowing. Meanwhile your abandoned bird houses look like your creative juices are flowing quite nicely. The lighting of your class still life is wonderful too.

  8. I know how you feel about being deep in work mode with no time to draw or paint. I like your empty birdhouses and I don't think your drawing is dull at all. I think it's very good.
